Ernst Meiner
Ernst D. (Ernie) Meiner Ernst D. (Ernie) Meiner, age 89, a long time Hemet, CA resident, passed away on Oct. 31, 2021. Ernie was born Dec. 25, 1931 in Almyra, Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Cascade during the Korean War and worked for General Telephone for 20 years before retiring. Ernie was a loyal member of the local Moose Lodge for over 50 years. He was always quick to lend a helping hand and will be remembered for his gentle and kind nature. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Rosanna, and his grandson Andrew. He is survived by two daughters, Wendy McCune of Ellensburg, WA and Suzanne Kleinpass (husband Bob) of San Jacinto, his companion Susan Whittaker of Hemet, 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Hemet Valley Mortuary is handling arrangements.
