James Morris

On August 5, 2018, Kimo’s spirit left this earth. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 9, 1935. He served in the U.S. Army for 24 years, retiring as a Sergeant First Class. During his military career, he was a Drill Sergeant for 6 years. He received 5 bronze stars and 3 purple hearts. After retiring in 1981, he continued to serve his country as a civil servant until full retirement in 1999. Predeceased by his mother Edith and his son George. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Emma (Cookie Medeiros); daughters Jimet (Brunson) Achiu and Evelyn (Scott) Moeller; 6 grandchildren: Nani (Scott) Colmer, Kalei Achiu, Walter Achiu, James Achiu, Cole Moeller and Brett Moeller; 6 great grandchildren; his sister Myra Ervin; and brothers Bruce McShane, Archie Morris and Robert Morris.
