Jesse Leroy Mendoza
10/10/1944 – 01/05/2023 Jesse Leroy Mendoza (aka Jesse J. Wilde), age 78, died January 5, 2023 in Ontario, California. He was preceded in death by his father Jesse A. Mendoza and his mother Lupe Mendoza. He is survived by his daughter Leslie Green and son-in-law Brian Green, his grandchildren Sarah Vieweg (husband Gavin Vieweg), Julia Green and Jack Green, his sister Mary Mendoza, his sister Cynthia Johnson (husband James Johnson), niece Amy Johnson. Also survived by his stepsons Donny, Brian, David and Daniel Warmus and his best pup Mindy. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1968 and the Army Reserves from 1971 to his honorable discharge in 1978. Jesse’s professional career included distinguishably different careers. He worked as an investigator for the U.S. Defense Department for 17 years, then in his retirement as a security guard. On the weekends he was active in western re-enactment events throughout the Inland Empire where he was discovered by a talent agent. He enjoyed an acting career that included T.V. shows and commercials, an extra on the HBO series Deadwood, major motion pictures, indie films, and various still photo advertisements. Jesse was best known as funny and a friend to many. He loved his family. He lived a full life. He gave his life to the Lord in 2019 and was baptized in January of 2020.
