Joe Sanchez

Joe C. Sanchez Jr., a longtime resident of Riverside, CA, passed away January 23, 2021, at the age of 73 years. He was born on January 21, 1948 to Joe C. Sanchez Sr. (predeceased) and survived by his 96 year old mother Shirley J. Sanchez and two children, son JoJo C. Sanchez lll and daughter Rachel Sanchez Higuera, son-in-law Matthew Higuera. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren Raymond, Jose, Monique, Christian and Christopher and two great- grandchildren Giovanni and Alex Sanchez. Proud five sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita & Sal Trujillo, Stella & David Rivera, Rosalia & Art Duysings, Julie & Leonard Vasquez and Connie & Frank Sauceda. Many special Tio’s, Tia’s, nieces, nephews, cousins and close dear friends. He served in the Army, from 1968 1974. Retired from the Riverside Unified School District of 36 years. He had so many skills and hobbies, loved to garden, go fishing, make bird houses, work on his truck. Enjoyed his morning menudo and family gatherings with tacos. He was loved by so many and easily made friends with everyone he met. Always lending a hand and helping those who needed it. He was kind, patient and a great storyteller. He will be missed by all of us, who had the honor of knowing him. May you rest in peace. We love you forever.
