Leonard Wood Jr.
Leonard Wood, Jr. Age 95, of Palm Desert, California passed away on June 26, 2020. He was born in Empire, Ohio May 28, 1925 and was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He was a Certified Public Accountant and also held executive positions with various companies in the hotel and country club industry.
Survivors include his wife Jean, his sister-in-law Mary Ann Wood, great niece Amanda Stranges, nephew Stephen Miller and Jean’s children, Tory Klink (Joel), Cindy Niblo, and Lance Clements (Amy), her grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Wood, Sr. and Geraldine Wood, his brother Barry Wood, his sister Karen Reinhardt, his niece Tracey Stranges, his nephew Michael Miller, and infant niece Linda Diane Miller.
“Len” was a kind and gentle man who for years read voraciously, books of historical nature and mysteries primarily. He purchased a new Bible some years back and suitably it was The American Patriot’s Bible.
In later years he faithfully attended Valley Christian Assembly with Jean and appreciated Pastor Mark’s teaching in particular.
