Leroy Johnson

Mr. Le Roy Everest Johnson Jr., born on September 22, 1937 in Ottumwa, Iowa, passed away at age 80 on July 20, 2018 in Colton, California. Le Roy graduated from Riverside City College in 1977. Le Roy served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1968 and he also worked in the government industry as a building maintenance mechanic at County of Riverside until he retired in 2003. Le Roy was the beloved husband of the late Nevha Johnson. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shawna Johnson; brothers, Ralph Euwing, Brenton Burris, Oscar Burris, and Earl Burris; sister, Valerie Cropp; and grandchild, Christopher Todd Johnson. Le Roy is survived by his sons, Christopher Johnson, Philip Johnson, and Danial Johnson; daughter, Angela Johnson; and grandchildren, LaSondra Graham, Jeffrey Johnson, Amber Johnson, Justin Green, Lacretia Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Alyssa Green, Bria Johnson, Christian Johnson, and Alisyn Green. Le Roy’s hobbies included Nascar and Formula 1 Racing, volunteering at church, and fishing. He was an usher at Christ the Redeemer Church, and he was a member of American Legion Post 500 and Knights of Columbus.
