Marion Garcia Jr.
October 31, 1928 – July 3, 2021 Marion Garcia passed away after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; his children by Betty Roberts Bergen: Gregory Garcia (Mary Lou) and Julie Poore (Brian); his step sons Brien and Karl Pittman; grandchildren Stephen, Kevin, and Michael (Theresa) Garcia, Emily Poore, Ashlee and Michael Pittman; and great-granddaughter Maria Garcia. Marion’s surviving siblings are Vera Henry, Rita Turner, Virginia Hiatt, Rachel Kukuk, and Loretta Ingvalson. Marion was predeceased by his parents Mariano Trujillo and Candida Mary (Grillo) Garcia; his deceased siblings are Richard Garcia, Marie Feltman, and Rudy Garcia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM on August 20, 2021, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 5250 Central Ave., Riverside CA 92504; interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery at 2:15 PM. Marion graduated from Poly High School in 1948 and served two tours of duty with the Army in the Far East. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years while concurrently running his own handyman business. A perfectionist in all that he did, Marion touched the lives of many with his quality craftsman’s skills and infectious smile and laughter.
