Raymond Long
Raymond Edward Long passed away June 10, 2022, in Granbury, Texas. Ray was born on June 11, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Helen Long, and moved to California in 1982. He loved challenges and never met an engine he couldn’t fix. He pursued multiple careers as a mechanic, lift truck salesman, business owner, and soldier during the Korean War. Much of his free time was spent repairing his home, gardening and playing pool at the Norco Senior Center. Even in his 80’s he could be seen hammering on his roof or helping a neighbor fix a lawn mower. Ray is survived by his eight children: Brian, Christine, Janet (Jerry), Cynthia (Chip), Philip, Jennifer (Tom), Patricia (Frank), and Michelle (Doug); 21 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
