Raymond Ortiz

Dimas Raymond Ortiz, of Fontana, California, went to be with be the Lord, Friday, January 1, 2021. He was born to Elias Pedro Ortiz and Carmen Sustaita Sanchez Ortiz in Lubbock, Texas, moved to San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Brackenridge High School, Raymond was a Vietnam veteran, served one and a half tours in Vietnam, a helicopter mechanic in the U.S. Army. He became an X-Ray Tech, retired as a Cancer Radiation Therapist at the City of Hope Hospital after 27 years. Raymond earned his pilot’s license, loved to take his grandsons out on flights. He enjoyed his stepchildren & grandchildren’s soccer games and being a support to all of them. Ray really enjoyed family and especially traveling with his wife Debbie to different countries. He is survived by his wife Deborah Walther Ortiz, brother Victor M. Ortiz, sister Carmen Ortiz Garcia, Robert and M. Terry Ortiz Clifton, brother-in-law & sister, his 3 stepchildren, Bobby, Cheri and Jenny, 5 grandchildren, Alyssa, Tiffany, Sommer, Donnie, Dylan and 2 great grandchildren and his nieces and nephews Eve Marie & Arnold Vice & their children Ariel, Kenneth, Jesse, & Eva, niece & nephew Victoria & Andy Messore and their children Lauren & Luke and his godson Michael Anthony Freeman.
