Rudy was predeceased by his parents Luis and Marina Oliva and brothers Augie, Angel, Pascual, Frank, Louie, Val, and Manuel. Rudy was a lifelong resident of Colton. He graduated from Colton High School in 1950 and remained an avid fan of all Colton High Yellowjacket sports. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1957 to 1962. In 1995, Rudy retired as a supervisor with Arrowhead Magazine Company in San Bernardino. Rudy enjoyed the company of his family more than anything.
