Rudy Valenzuela

Indio, CA – Rudy D. Valenzuela went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, after a battle with cancer. He was the son of Soledad "Chole" Valenzuela, well known in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church parish. He was a graduate of Coachella Valley High School. Rudy was born with an entrepreneurial spirit and started his own business at the tender age of 8 by cutting lawns in his neighborhood – what was then known as "Radio City". He was then hired by the local market to work as a box boy. From there he went on to work in the produce department for various valley supermarkets – a job he loved. At age 22, he was drafted by the US Army and served two years. After an honorable discharge, he met the love of his life, Rose. They were married on November 16, 1968. Rudy returned to the supermarkets until the entrepreneurial bug bit again and he pursued a real estate career. He was a real estate broker for over 35 years. He and Rose owned three real estate offices and an escrow office. Rudy is survived by his wife, Rose, son Louis, daughter Cyra, and four granddaughters, Enid, Cece, Mia, and Emma. He was predeceased by his brothers, Louie and Silver, and mother Chole.
