Simon Torres
8/1/1931 – 12/20/2022 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Simon Torres, born in Los Angeles, who passed away at the age of 91. He was the son of the late Esteban Torres and Virginia Galvan. Simon is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Gladys, whom he was married to for 56 years. Simon was a proud veteran, having served his country during the Korean War, and was awarded a medal for his service. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who was loved by all who knew him. Simon is survived by his children Sandra, Candy, Joseph, Gidget, Myla, Karen and Gina. He is also survived by his sister Dora, who is 94 years young, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Bridget as well as his first wife Gloria and siblings Sammy, Will, Rebecca, Frances, and Virginia. Simon will be remembered for his love of family, his quick wit, and his selflessness. He lived a full and meaningful life, surrounded by the love of those closest to him, especially his wife Mary Gladys, whom he loved deeply.
