January 17, 1944 – January 2, 2022 Thomas J. Overstreet (Tom), loving husband of Linda, passed away at the age of 77 at Kaiser Hospital in Fontana, CA. Tom was born to William and Elsie Overstreet in Birmingham, AL, where he grew up. At age 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he honorably served for 8 years, including two tours in Vietnam working as a jet mechanic. He always loved planes and flying. Last stationed at Norton AFB, he left the service and remained in California. He worked for the Forest Service and several other occupations before working for Fontana Steel, where he stayed for 25 years as a superintendent and then safety director. Tom and Linda were married for 33 years. Tom loved Nascar racing, Crimson Tide college football, RV camping, good friends from the Elks and Eagles lodges, his family, and our dog Barney. Tom is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Aubre Albin, granddaughter Allie Setsodi, great granddaughter Mai Setsodi, best friend Jim Murphy, brother Johnnie Overstreet, and sisters Billie Overstreet, Donna Pilgrim, and Rozi Breed. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Sally, Etta, Sharon, and brother Bill. Tom will always be loved and remembered by those who knew him.
