Thomas Stack
Thomas (Tom) Stack, age 67, of Highland, California, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 in Redlands, CA. Stack, a native of Watertown, Wisconsin, lived in San Bernardino and Highland for most of his life. He graduated from San Gorgonio High School in San Bernardino and following graduation, enlisted in the United States Air Force. After being honorably discharged from the USAF, Tom returned home to San Bernardino where he worked various jobs in automobile maintenance repair, and in the field of construction/carpentry. In 1981 Tom was hired by the San Bernardino City Unified School District as a carpenter where he worked until his retirement in January 2007.
He was an avid animal lover. He loved to travel especially by train. He loved music, the beach, camping, visiting swap meets to find car parts for his dune buggy, target shooting, collecting model trains, and most of all working on projects in his garage.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Harold Stack. He is survived by his loving life partner, Ofelia Pettengill of Highland; mother Florence Stack of Sacramento, CA; sisters, Cindy Martz of Nampa, ID, Sandy Butler (Jerry) of Citrus Heights, CA, and Debbie Hudson (Alan) of Harrison, OH; brother David Stack (Theresa) of Lake Havasu City, AZ; as well as, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be missed by best friends Mike and Sue Land of Las Vegas, NV, and Mary Ann and Jerry Rennick of San Bernardino, CA.
