Virgil Rosemyre

Virgil “Jack” Rosemyre , age 94, passed away peacefully in his Corona, CA home on September 11, 2018. A veteran of World War II and Korea, serving honorably in both the Marines and Army respectively. Jack was born on April 26, 1924 in Champagne-Urbana, IL to Homer and Famie Mae Rosemyre. In 1942, he joined the armed forces and was assigned to the Marine Corps for a tour in the Pacific. After his deployment, Jack attended classes at the University of Illinois. Jack decided to re-join the military during the Korean Conflict and received a commission in the Army.

Jack was a brave and loyal soldier, as well as a patient and loving father. He married Sharon Cousins in Los Angeles, CA in 1955. A natural leader, he owned and operated multiple construction businesses during his lifetime. Jack was an avid golfer and fisherman. He is survived by his wife Sharon; daughters, Pam, and Peggy; his eight grandchildren; his seven great-grand- children; and his great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia.
